Amber Rose has revealed she “cried for three years straight” after her breakup with Wiz Khalifa.
The celebrity couple tied the knot in 2013, before calling it quits just one year later. Now, the model, who also dated Kanye West, is opening up about the difficult breakup with her “soulmate.” However, the pair, who share a son remain on good terms.

In an interview on the No Jumper podcast, the 40-year-old opened up about co-parenting with the Black and Yellow singer, as she said they were “literally best friends.”
She then explained how she was just at her exes Halloween party, with her other son, Slash, whom she shares with ex Alexander “AE” Edwards.
“Even Slash not being his baby, [Khalifa] picks them up, he plays with them … we’re just a family, and that’s just how we look at it,” she explained.
Although they’re on good terms, the breakup wasn’t easy for Rose, who revealed: “With Wiz, I cried for like three years straight … Wiz was the love of my life. I used to just sit in the shower and be like, ‘F***.”
She then said that the music star “feels the same way.”
“We’ve had this conversation. He’s said it in interviews and stuff like that. We were each other’s soul mates and I think that’s why we’re able to still be close and co-parent,” she said.
The pair both attended the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards together earlier this year, with their son Sebastian. However, the rapper now has a new girlfriend, Amy, who Amber called “amazing.”
The couple’s relationship explored
The couple first broke the news of their relationship via X, known as Twitter at the time in 2011, when the model tweeted:
“I need my baby. I’m so in LOVE I don’t care what anyone says that’s my baby I found happiness my heart is with Cam.” (Wiz’s real name is Cameron Thomaz for anyone who’s confused.)
A few months later, Amber got Wiz’s name tattooed on her finger and all was looking well when they attended the MTV VMAs red carpet together in August of the same year.
In March 2012, they announced their engagement via Instagram. Six months later, they announced they were expecting their first baby together, Sebastian, who was born in February 2013.
They tied the knot in July of that year, however, it wasn’t meant to be as Amber filed for divorce just over a year later, in September 2014.
