Johnny Ruffo won the hearts of fans as the finalist of the third season of The X Factor Australia in 2011. Along with music, Johnny pursued his love for dancing and won the twelfth season of Dancing with the Stars Australia next year. Johnny Ruffo had been fighting the biggest battle of his life for a couple of years. The actor was first diagnosed with brain cancer in 2017 and underwent surgery to remove the brain tumor.
However, the tumor returned after three years and Johnny revealed that it was terminal last year in August.
After facing the hardest battle of his life, Johnny Ruffo’s death sadly came on November 10.
His family updated fans through a heartbreaking Instagram post: “It is with a heavy heart that today we had to farewell our beloved Johnny. Surrounded by his partner Tahnee and family, Johnny went peacefully with the support of some incredible Nurses & Doctors.
Johnny’s last update for his fans shared by his partner Tahnee was a rundown of him battling brain cancer for six years. It included short clips of the actor’s surgery and his recovery period, including their happy travel journeys and moments shared with friends and family. The emotional post was titled: “6 years on from diagnosis. What a fight”.
Johnny’s fight with cancer has been inspiring to many, as he and his partner kept fans updated with their life. Johnny’s partner Tahnee’s Instagram is a reminder of ‘fighter’ Johnny’s spirit, whose six years of battle with Cancer have not been easy.
