The new boutique features a custom strap station with both engraving and embossing bespoke options, along with a dedicated VIP lounge. Watches and Wonders Edit: Vacheron Constantin’s key complication for 2023
The exhibition open to the public includes historical timepieces from the Vacheron Constantin private heritage collection, which is based in Geneva and was flown in especially for the occasion.
Just a few of the timeless, priceless pieces on display include a 1940 yellow gold “Airflow” rectangular wristwatch with small seconds and a post-war yellow gold “Surprise” pocket watch. Later examples feature more daring and fanciful designs, such as the yellow gold Fancy Square wristwatch of 1970, the yellow gold “Prestige de France” asymmetrical timepiece with dual time display from 1978, through to the 1985 unique yellow and white gold two-toned rectangular cuff watch.
The grand reopening event
During the event, bespoke cocktails and canapés were served to guests, including stakeholders, as they perused the refined, contemporary interiors inspired by the maison’s design aesthetics and enjoyed the eye-catching displays from Vacheron Constantin’s mastery of belle haute horlogerie.
This included an extensive collection of novelty timepieces from simple to high-complication creations, including from this year’s Watches and Wonders.
